Hey!

My name is Joaquín and I'm a Software Engineer, a problem solver and optimizer.

As a Sr Software Engineer supporting the founding team at ArcHouse, I help build and scale a multi-tenant post-acute care platform serving 45+ hospices and clinics across the US, with HIPAA compliance at the core of everything we ship.

I own features end to end, amongst which I support the DevOps k8s pipeline, a Python/Django backend powering AI-supported flows, the React/TypeScript frontend and a soon-to-launch Swift mobile app. I focus on EHR integrations, packaging PHI into HL7 v2 compliant formats (FHIR and C-CDA), and standing up workflows like Direct certification with ONC-certified EHRs.

Nothing has ever been built without a great team, so I look to surround myself with the best problem solvers and amazing people I can find.

I love wood-working, I'm a former drummer and a learning enthusiast (currently diving into Rust 🦀 and embedded C programming). If it can be created, I want to learn everything about it!
